March 2007 |
FROM THE EAST
Brother Steve Whaley is doing well after his open heart surgery. We miss him! We also have several other Brothers and their wives that are experiencing health problems. We will report on their conditions at our first March meeting.
The official visit of the DDGM will be at our first of the month meeting. We need you to come out and support the Lodge for his visit.
Ticket donations for the Fish Fry have been slow.
This is a prime fund raising event. We need donations for our local charitable events.
Please, please just ask folks if they want a ticket. They are aware of how good the fish
is. Just ask them and they will come !
Our child ID event is starting to snowball. To date we have four corporate sponsors, help from the Sheriff's Department, Marion County Schools, VFW, Belleview Police, and The Fire Department. On display will be fire trucks, T.G. Lee's marketing van and Balloon, and I hope, a 1925 Model T Milk Truck. There is some talk of a helicopter as well.
I want to thank all of my officers and the Brothers that are attending Lodge for their help and the fine job they are doing.
Fraternally,
John Paul Pisani
We always need help at our Fund Raisers— please find time to help out! It is always appreciated and makes things run more smoothly. PLEASE GET THOSE DONATIONS!
