WOULD THE BROTHER WHO BORROWED THE SET OF MASONIC EDUCATION TAPES PLEASE RETURN THEM TO THE LODGE !!!

FROM THE EAST
Brothers all and friends of the Lodge,
Well May is here already and we are running a little late with the Trestle Board this month but stuff happens!   We had a great month at the Lodge last month with two new brothers being initiated along with three candidates from Ft McCoy Lodge. The Lodge is having a big turnout of visitors from Spruce Creek and other areas. We want to welcome these Brothers to our Lodge.
I want to thank the Ladies for the help they give to the Lodge at our 2nd meeting (4th Thursday) of the month. I keep telling them that they are our guests and to stay out of the kitchen but they don't pay attention. THANKS LADIES, we couldn't get along without you!!
There are two problems pressing at the Lodge and no easy answer to them. One is the building repairs needed and the 2nd is an emergency charity fund. I don't think it is the responsibility of just those members attending Lodge to fund these important matters. I am leaning towards an assessment that would be paid by ALL members of the Lodge. 1 think that $15.00 a month for 24 months with $12.00 for the building and $3 for the charity fund would cover these.   I would like to hear your thoughts on this.
Remember, this is your Lodge and your help, support, and active participation is needed and required if the Lodge is to stay viable and functioning. If you have any complaints, criticism, suggestions, or a few words of encouragement please call me
I am
Jaby Oliver, WM, and I am as close as my phone 843-0198.

FROM THE SOUTH
After the EA Degree, I have one thing to say: The East is not as
easy as it looks from the South, and it sure is hot up there.
We are getting into the summer months and everybody is either riding, fishing or getting some sun. Please remember that we do not go dark in the summer, and it would be great if more Brothers showed up. We have Grand Lodge at the end of this month, and there are several interesting items up for voting. The new Brothers are anxious to get their catechism going, and actually have already started. This is an exciting time for them, and we will let you know the exact date that they will stand their proficiency.
There is actually nothing else I have to say, so I am going to cut it short this month. For those of you who have gone up North, we wish you a healthy and happy summer. See you next fall.

Brother Paul Sullivan
