FROM THE EAST

On behalf of the Officers and members of Belleview Lodge #95, I want to thank R. W.Bud Boyer for inviting the members of our Lodge to attend the dedication of the Bernhard E. Laugesen Memorial Pavilion at the Boy Scouts Camp Shands located south of Melrose, FL. Three members from the Lodge, along with Brother John Pisani and Steve Whaley and their wives, attended the ceremony and really enjoyed ourselves.

The camp is something that anyone would be proud of and everyone was made to feel welcome.

After the dedication all enjoyed a super lunch catered by Tommy's Catering Service out of Ocala (who happens to also be a Brother). As some of you know, Brother Laugesen was a 50 year member of out Lodge and served as Treasurer of the Lodge for many, many years as well as filling the Senior Deacon's chair in the Master Mason Degree. This was a part he dearly loved doing and it was always a pleasure seeing him in the chair.

Again, Brother Bud, thank you for including the Lodge in this memorable day. I want to thank all those that attended the called meeting concerning the BBQ Rib Feast. Because of the support shown by these Brothers attending, we will be able to have the 14th annual feast again this year. To all the Brothers that failed to attend this important meeting for whatever reason, I am asking that you find it in your hearts and consciences to support the incoming Master of the Lodge next year. Just a point of information for you brothers,—This fundraiser will keep the doors of Belleview Lodge open for another year. Without it, the future of Belleview Lodge was in question!!

If you don't like the direction the Lodge is going in, show up, vote and change it. You have the vote, power and authority to dictate what happens in YOUR Lodge. Don't gripe about what happens when you, as a member of what could be one of the best Lodges in the district, fail to exercise you rights and duties as a Member and Mason. Remember, elections are just 21/2 months away.

FROM THE SOUTH

Thanks to all who went to Camp Shands on Saturday. We had a nice group of Lodge Members there. Also thanks to the brothers who came to the meeting concerning the Rib Feast. It was great to see so many Brothers that I didn't know, and I had the pleasure of meeting them.

Things are moving along with our Brothers who will be raised in November at an outdoor Master Mason Degree being put on by Marion Dunn Lodge. This will be a great experience for these Brothers who will remember it for the rest of their lives. THE DEGREE WILL BE HELD A HALE STANCIL'S FARM ON NOVEMBER 4 th AT 4:00 O'CLOCK. This will be a great event, and it would be even better if we have a showing of support for these new Brothers.

The year is starting to fly by and we are soon to be having our Sojourning Masons joining us at Lodge. With the Rib Feast on October 7, we will entering the season — with Thanksgiving and Christmas following close behind. This also means that Lodge Elections are close at hand. Come to Lodge and voice your opinions. This is the only way that you can change anything that you want changed. Bring a friend to the second meeting of the month. This is a very short meeting and fellowship in the dining room, a great way to introduce a potential Brother to the members of the Lodge. See you at the second Meeting in October!

SELL AND BUY THOSE RIB FEAST TICKETS! WE NEED A GREAT TURNOUT FOR THE FEAST ON OCTOBER 7!
